Become a Medicaid Provider is a research guide we created at Home Care Agency Blueprint. It helps home care owners decide whether Medicaid is the right payer and understand what becoming a provider involves, using federal rules and agency pages as the reference point.

Methodology
Federal facts come from the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (42 CFR Part 455, Subparts B and E, and 42 CFR 438.214), Medicaid.gov pages and CMS guidance on home and community-based services and electronic visit verification, the HHS Office of Inspector General exclusions page, and NPPES. We do not publish state-specific enrollment steps, fees, timelines, payment rates or approval odds, because they differ by state and change; each page points you to your state Medicaid agency instead.
Every checklist item names its source or is marked as your own planning. The checklists show counts, not scores.
Our conflict of interest
Home Care Agency Blueprint sells courses and coaching to people starting home care agencies. That gives it a reason to encourage you to start or grow an agency. We try to counter that by sticking to cited sources, by describing when private pay may fit better, and by keeping sales copy off the guide pages. Each page links to our booking page in the header, in one booking section at the bottom, and in the footer.
Privacy
There are no sign-up or contact forms on this site. The checklists save entries only in your own browser. There are no embedded videos on this site. See the privacy policy and terms on the Home Care Agency Blueprint site.
